New track & video

April 20, 2011

I made a new track, gave it the title “Modern Day Silence”, added some b/w video-thing to it and uploaded it.
Check it out.

MAURIZIO BIANCHI / M.B. & JAN-M. IVERSEN :
REKVIEM MB-JMI (CD SILENTES MINIMAL EDITIONS SME1144)

A “classic” minimal ambient album; just one long track, a bit obscure, of a static nature but unarrestable as a matter of fact and slowly developing, built with layers of soft and “round” sounds, heavily processed and effected, whose origin seems to be an organ…
“Atypical” for sure, if confrontated with the huge and widely diversified productions of Maurizio Bianchi, this new album is probably one of the last and not to be missed releases signed by “M.B.”, since he has already announced his definitive departure from the musical scene. Another extraordinary collaborative CD, involving this time Jan-M. Iversen, an artist of international fame who managed to enrich and elaborate with great effect the “sound materials” provided by Maurizio Bianchi.

The holism principle is mutual iterative remixing, creating an oscilating flow of edits. Two seed tracks are created by the artists involved in the project. Each artist sends his seed to the other. Remixes are made. Tracks are send back. The first artist remixes the remix of the second one. And so on. Until the work is done. The result is a constantly changing sequence of influences of both artists on two tracks.

On the 3rd Tosom Holism Martin Steinebach collaborates with Jan-Morten Iversen, a well known norwegian Ambient Noise artist who also operates the TIBProd. label. Iversen have released tons of great material on different labels. Both tracks here are very calm The first one is a flowing ambient journey and the second have some experimental moments.
Printed CDR in a mini DVD Box with 2 Inlays.
Artwork is factory printed on high quality photographic paper.
